Atlanta race winner Kyle Busch worked on some things for his Cup Series race during the Truck Series triumph.
Kyle Busch comes to the Cup Series race at Atlanta in great form after dominating in the Truck Series the day before. After his 60th career win in the championship, he spoke about how much a strong Truck run helped him prepare for Sunday’s event.
“There are definitely some things that I was trying today [on Saturday] that I felt like would be a little bit representative of tomorrow [Sunday]. Trying the top, trying the bottom, seeing what lines and where the grip was, and when we did make changes to the truck what it did. I was always kind of moving around throughout the race to try to find some different things and feel some different things”, Busch told ASN Motorsports.
Kyle Busch was also excited for the Cup race to make amends: “So, I’m looking forward to tomorrow [Sunday]. It’s going to be nice to get that M&M’s Messages Camry out on the race track and, hopefully, race our way up towards the front. We start deep in the field, so we’d like to get some of those points that we’re missing out on this year.”
Kyle Busch will start the Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway from 19th position.
