It has been announced via Twitter earlier today that Kyle Larson will drive the number 44 truck for Niece Motorsports for the Bristol dirt race. This will be Larson’s first race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since 2016 where he drove in three races, one of which being at Eldora.

The 2021 Chili Bowl Nationals Champion will certainly be a favorite for this race, given his absolute domination racing on dirt last year after his controversial departure from NASCAR. Kyle Larson, on average, won about 50% of his races while driving midgets and sprint cars across several different series.

“I really appreciate the opportunity given by Niece Motorsports,” Larson said. “I’m excited to get back into a truck at one of my favorite race tracks.”

“Kyle is obviously one of the best drivers out there today,” Niece Motorsports General Manager Cody Efaw said.  “His resume on dirt speaks for itself.  We are looking forward to him joining the organization at Bristol and contending for a win.”

It will be a packed field for the Truck Series as Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., and Ryan Preece are some Cup Series drivers that will be joining Larson. The Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt will take place on Saturday, March 27th at 8 pm EST at Bristol Motor Speedway.
