Pramac Ducati rider Johann Zarco has topped 350km/h in the Qatar MotoGP test, as Ducati comes to the fore with Jack Miller breaking the lap record by 0.2 seconds.

A 1.53.183 was the time set by Australia’s Miller, taking the lap record from Marc Marquez, who is still out due to injury. Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo dipped under the record too, but because this is testing, all times are unofficial.

The big news though, was Zarco. The Frenchman posting a top speed of 357.5km/h on the Friday test, beating the record that he took on Thursday by 5km/h. In the imparial system that is 221.8mph, and less than 20km/h slower than the unofficial F1 top speed, set by Valtteri Bottas at Baku in 2016.

Its interesting to note the straight at Losail International Circuit is only 709 meters long. Algarve, Mugello, Austria and Sepang all have 1km straights, so could we top 360km/h in 2021?
