The sneak peek of upcoming NASCAR races at Phoenix Raceway, which are set to take pace this weekend.
Another week – another NASCAR weekend. This time we will see the best stock car drivers in the world drive at Phoenix Raceway. It will be a crucial weekend for everyone as Phoenix will host the championship race in every NASCAR series later in the year. The racing action will start with the Xfinity Series race on Saturday and will follow with the Cup Series event on Sunday.
Phoenix Raceway is an unusual track with its own character. It is a 1-mile tri-oval track. The bankings are quite low at the race track – 8° at turn 1, 8-9° at turn 2, and 10-11° at turns 3 and 4, which are progressive. It also has a dogleg with a 10-11° banking. Another interesting feature is the start-finish line – it is not located at the main straight.
Phoenix Raceway is a challenging track, which requires a lot of patience and faultless performance. The defending race winner at Phoenix Raceway in the Xfinity Series and Cup Series are Austin Cindric and Chase Elliott respectively. They will try to take back-to-back chequered flags, but there will be other drivers on pole. Daniel Hemric will lead the field to the green flag on Saturday, while Brad Keselowski will do so the following day.
Make sure not to miss any bit of NASCAR action at Phoenix Raceway as we will provide you with live commentary and recaps of both races on the ASN Motorsports website.
