On March 9th, the official 24 Hours of Le Mans entry list has been revealed, confirming ByKolles Racing aligning their Hypercar from 2022.

The official entry list for the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans is there. The 89th edition of the legendary race marks the first-ever appearance of LMH cars in the race. 5 cars have registered to compete in Hypercar, namely Toyota Gazoo Racing, with two cars, putting their title back on the line, Alpine ELF Matmut, aligning the only car not being a real LMH, and Glickenhaus, also with two Hypercars. ByKolles Racing decided not to enter WEC this year, allowing them another year of development for their future vehicle.

It is also important to underline the big amount of LMP2 cars taking part in the race, there will not be less than 25 LMP2s on the starting line of this year’s race, which is two more than last year. Some big names of LMP2 can be recognized by reading the entry list like United Autosport, the winners of the last edition, engaging three cars, or the Richard Mille Racing team which is composed of a 100% feminine line-up. Of course, the famous G-Drive Racing will also engage a car in LMP2, after winning the 2021 edition of the Asian Le Mans series.

As for the LM GTE Pro class, the 2021 class is composed of 7 crews. The good news coming from America with Corvette deciding to align two cars of theirs: the cars number 63 and 64. Finally, 24 LM GTE Am crews are registered for what should be the number one summer race of all endurance fans.

This year’s edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been delayed to August 21st-22nd in the hope of being able to allow fans to come to the track.
