Williams to unveil 2021 challenger in Augmented Reality

The iconic Williams Racing squad will reveal its new 2021 car in Augmented Reality, giving fans the opportunity to have a look at a 3D FW43B via a Smartphone app.

Six out of ten 2021 Formula 1 teams unveiled their new automobiles for the upcoming king class season. One team yet to announce its new 2021 car is the iconic Williams squad.

They have announced, that their new vehicle will be unveiled in Augmented Reality via an application. Meaning fans from around the world will be able to follow the reveal of the Williams FW43B through the “Williams Racing AR Launch 2021” app, which is available for iOS, and shortly coming for Android devices.

On the day of the reveal, users of the app will get a notification once the content is ready to be checked. After the FW43B is unveiled at 2 PM GMT on March 5th, the team will hold a virtual press conference an hour later. Williams Racing CEO John Capito will be joined by team principal Simon Roberts and both drivers, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi.

With the possibility to see a 3D model of the brand-new 2021 Williams F1 car, fans can get a glimpse of the new livery and car from their living room. With its new automobile, the Williams team hopes for a better season this year, following a pointless 2020 campaign.
