The end of the second Formula E World Championship race was quite chaotic, with Sam Bird declared the winner after 29 laps. In fact, Diriyah E-Prix had to be stopped because of a violent accident.

Alex Lynn was the one to be involved. He collided with Mitch Evans, whereupon his car rolled over and slid upside down into the run-off zone. The accident did not show up on the official world feed of the broadcast. The Mahindra Racing team announced that the Briton was taken to the hospital for a check. However, they said that the 27-year-old was in stable condition and responsive.

More information has not yet been made public. The article will be updated as soon as more information is given.

UPD: Mahindra Racing has confirmed that Alex Lynn has been released from the hospital and will drive the car at Rome E-Prix.
