Chip Ganassi Racing team owner will have to miss one race.
The 2021 season has not started in the best way possible for Chip Ganassi – it has been confirmed on Monday that he has been fined and suspended for one race by the NASCAR officials. The reason for that is the violation of COVID-19 protocols during the race weekend at Daytona International Speedway.
Ganassi had a company of “a non-essential individual”, who was not allowed to be in that area, and that was against the protocols. He will have to pay a $30000 fine as a result. The suspension does not affect any of the Chip Ganassi Racing cars.
