Xfinity Series qualifying, Cup Series final practice cancelled due to rain

The NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying at Daytona has been cancelled due to heavy rain.

The rain started at the first periods of the Cup Series practice. It did not stop since then and the intensity has increased over time. The NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying for tonight’s race has been cancelled because of the current conditions, having in mind it’ll continue to rain for hours to come, plus the drying efforts which take a lot of time.

The DNQs are Cockrum, Reddick, Anderson, Bassett and Gosselin.

The NASCAR Cup Series final practice has also been cancelled. Next in line is the ARCA Menards race at 1:30 PM Eastern Time. We’ll keep you updated on the status of the remaining sessions as the day goes.
