The teams have decided to approve engine freeze.

One of the biggest disputes in F1 recently has reportedly been solved. According to several sources, the teams have agreed to apply the engine freeze rule in Formula 1 starting from the next season. That has happened during the F1 Commission meeting this Thursday.

Red Bull and AlphaTauri are in the biggest favour of this decision, because the engine freeze will allow both teams stay in cnontention after the departure of Honda. That will also confirm the commitment to the sport for the foreseeable future.

The highly anticipated idea of sprint races has also been discussed during the meeting. The concept got the support of the voting parties, but they still want some more time to explore the topic more.
