The no.18 Kyle Busch Motorsports driver wins the only practice session.
Racing action kicked off in the NASCAR Truck Series on Thursday. 46 comptetitors got a chance to drive around World Center of Racing as only 36 of them will get into the race, which meant that no one could waste time.
We saw a lot of good runs, both in groups and single-car. Some drivers struggled, some put up some very competitive lap times. We also had three red flags throughout the 50-minute practice session.
All in all, Chandler Smith topped the standings of the session. Austin Hill was second, while Johnny Sauter, Drew Dollar, and John Hunter Nemechek completed the top 5 of the session. The trucks will come back to the track tomorrow during the qualifying and the race itself.
