A sneak peek into the first race of the NASCAR Cup Series in 2021.
NASCAR is finally back and it is always a special period for every fan. As usual, the season in all three main championships will kick-off with Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. This year we will see a lot of changes in the schedule and it all starts during the first week of the season.
Busch Clash will start the Speedweeks. However, this year it will be unlike any other, because for the first time since 1979 that it will not be held on an oval. The best drivers of the past season will drive around the road course. The Cup Series visited Daytona’s road course only once, that happened in August 2020, which definitely would spice the things up on Tuesday.
21 drivers will be eligible for the contention for the first trophy of the season. The grid was completed on several criteria: a past Busch Clash champion, a past Daytona 500 champion, past Daytona 500 pole winners, 2020 pole sitters, 2020 Playoffs drivers, race winners, and stage winners.
With the drivers hungry for winning and a relatively new track for them, we will see a great race indeed. Make sure not to miss the 2021 Busch Clash on Tuesday, February 9th at 7 PM EST.
