The Williams test driver completes DAMS’ 2021 Formula 2 line-up.
The Israeli driver begins his third season of F2 with 6 points to his name over 2018 and 2020, with a reverse grid pole his highlight of the 2020 season, contested with Trident.
He said of the signing:
“I’m thrilled to be part of such a highly respected team as DAMS. They have an amazing history at this level and a strong reputation in Formula 2, so I’m excited to be joining.”
His teammate will be New Zealand’s Marcus Armstrong, who switched from ART to join the French team.
DAMS ownership have said they are impressed at how quickly Nissany integrated with the team, saying:
“We are very happy to welcome Roy to the team for 2021. We have already had the opportunity to work with him during the Bahrain post-season test which went very well and we were pleased with his feedback.”
There are now eight seats left to fill in the 2021 field.
